Summary:
1-day tour at Tarangire National Park
Experience the magic of Tarangire National Park, where ancient baobab trees prevail and herds of elephants gather along the Tarangire River.
In detail:
In the early morning, after a safari briefing, you will head towards Tarangire National Park. Covering an area of 2,600 km2, Tarangire National Park is roughly the size of Luxembourg. Tarangire is known for its ancient baobab trees and large herds of elephants gathering near the Tarangire River. You’ll have the chance to see playful baby elephants alongside their families, as well as zebras, giraffes, warthogs, hyenas, buffaloes, and more.
For bird lovers, Tarangire is a paradise with over 550 bird species waiting to be discovered. From the vibrant yellow-necked spurfowl to the striking white-crowned shrike and the intricate black-necked weaver, the park is alive with color and sound.
As we traverse the park’s rolling grasslands, dense acacia bush, and iconic baobab-dotted landscapes, we’ll stop at key viewpoints to take in the incredible scenery and wildlife. At around midday, we will stop for a picnic lunch at a designated area in the park and after some relaxation in nature resume the game drive. At the end of the day, we’ll ensure you’re safely returned to your hotel, with memories of an amazing adventure and plenty of photos to cherish.
