Depart from your accommodation in Arusha or a nearby area, accompanied by your experienced safari guide.
Enter Ngorongoro Crater as it opens for the day. Descend into the crater, marvelling at the stunning panoramic views along the way. Keep your cameras ready as you explore the crater floor, encountering an abundance of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, and rhinos.
Continue your wildlife adventure, exploring different habitats within the crater, from open grasslands to dense forests. Keep an eye out for leopards lounging in the trees and hippos wallowing in the hippo pool. Take a break for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot within the crater, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.
Resume your safari exploration, focusing on areas where you haven’t yet explored. Visit the Lerai Forest to search for elusive species such as the black rhino and the endangered cheetah. Keep your binoculars handy for bird-watching opportunities, as Ngorongoro Crater is home to over 400 bird species
As the afternoon sun begins to dip, start making your way towards the crater exit, enjoying the last glimpses of wildlife along the way.
Depart Ngorongoro Crater and begin your journey back to your accommodation.
